I just missed using them since calculators had gotten cheap enough that they were no longer taught. I'll start with the computing device my grandfather, mother, and father first used. For the younger folks I hope this provides some interesting information on how things were. For you older folks this will be "nostalgia" to "I was hoping to forget those times". The experience was not rare but at least parts of it were probably not typical. This display is an exhibit of my and my family's computing history artifacts telling our personal history and how we actually used them as well as the mists of time permit.
